“I hope everyone of you will learn hard, behave in a sense of responsibility in the new school and manage goals to make alum mater proud.” said Mr. Chen Jun, the vice president of HJNU, “you are the messsengers of friendship between.”  On the afternoon of Sept. 2nd,  a farewell symposia was held in the No.1 conference room of Libray.

Mr. Chen sincerely congratulated the first five students and gave his own expectation for them. He said, “It’s a long and arduous negotiation to launch the joint training projects with universities in Beijing. The chance is so precious that I am really looking forward your efforts and outstanding performances there, as well as establishing a good image of HJNU. My best wishes for you and for a good start.”

He also told the students to keep in touch with parents and teachers, took care of themselves in a new environment.

Mr. Wang Shaoming, director of dean’s office, Ms. Chen Mei, dean of College of Foreign Languages, Mr. Wang Jin, dean of College of Chinese Language, Mr.Zheng Chuanqin, dean of College of Education, attended and stressed aspects of matters needed attention and made some specific requirements as well.

Five of selected students, Xu Jiao, Chen Siyu, Zhang Jianhan, Deng Ranqi, Jing Andi shared their determination and goals in the following years.

According to the cooperation programs of Danjiangkou reservoir and upstream area approved by the State Council and the spirit of  Beijing’s paring-assistanc to Shiyan, HNJU has made some agreements with Capital Normal University and North China University of Technology, of joint cultivating undergraduates from 2017. Referring to the scores in first year, 19 students from the majors of Chinese Language and Literature, English, Mathematics and Applied Mathematics, Primary Education,  were selected. In next three years, they will study in cooperated universities.

The students for Capital Normal University will leave on Sept.3rd, and for North China University of Technology will leave on Sept.8th.
