On 25, March, 9 new undergraduate specialties has been approved to be set up in Hanjiang Normal University, according to the announcement of the Ministry of Education, which are Ideological&Political Education, Digital Media Art, Business English, Logistics Management, Chemistry, Network Engineering, Information Engineering, Calligraphy and Tourism Management.

The total number of HJNU’s undergraduate specialties rises to 25, with the 16 existing ones.

Wang Jing, the director of Dean’s office, introduced that in recent years the number and quality of undergraduate enrollment is encouraging, many achievements in teaching and researches have been made. Since the upgradation to undergraduate university, HJNU has placed a high importance the application of undergraduate specialties. Several meetings and seminars have been held to discuss the construction and application of new undergraduates specialties.

The director of the Department of Developing and Planning, Hu Zhongqing, said the total number of undergraduates specialties is expected to reach 40 in 2020, the population of full-time students will be over ten thousand.
