7 new undergraduate specialties have been approved to be set up in Hanjiang Normal University by Hubei Provincial Department of Education on 21, March, which are Environmental Engineering, Musicology, Auditing, Software Engineering, Preschool Education, Broadcasting and Television Directing, Electrical Engineering and Automation, so the total number is 16 with the existing 9 ones.

Since the upgrading to undergraduate university, HJNU has placed a high importance to the application of undergraduate specialties. Several meetings and seminars have been held to study and improve the construction and application of new undergraduate specialties. At the end of last year, these 7 specialties were approved to be the new ones to apply for notification by the Teaching Affairs Committee, HJNU.

The 16 undergraduate specialties are Primary Education, Chinese Language and Literature, English, Mathematics and Applied Mathematics, Physical Education, History, Painting, Physics, Musicology, Preschool Education, Applied Chemistry, Environmental Engineering, Auditing, Software Engineering, Broadcasting and Television Drecting, Electrical Engineering and Automation.

In HJNU, the undergraduate enrollments are becoming better and better in recent years. All the undergraduate admission plans were completed in the first run.

This September, HJUN will welcome the new blood in the 16 specialties.
