Recently, the Xianzhen Road of HJNU’s new campus become lively again, for about 600 students of the Chinese Language College who returned from internship just move into their new dormitories.

Owing to the support of government, the former Shiyan Party School has turned into the West Campus of HJNU, which is separated by a hill from the main campus. The new campus is only a ten-minute walk with the help of the newly-built eco-trail.

From last spring, the construction of infrastructure, such as water and electricity supply system, the buildings’ renovation, roads and afforestation, had successively started. Teaching equipment and living facilities had been purchased as well. Now the 97-acre Campus has been fully operational with a teaching building of 30 classrooms, a library and a canteen, two well-facilitated dormitory buildings that can accommodate 700 students. And the total structure area of all the buildings amount to 14 thousand square meters. It’s said that the College of Computer Science will move to the new campus in the beginning of next semester.

It’s believed that the expansion of space is a great supplement to HJNU in the difficulty of the housing shortage and will surely offer a favourable living and studying environment to the students and teachers.
