On November 11, the final of the 12th Hubei Normal College Students' Teaching Skills Competition for Normal Teaching was held in Central China Normal University. Li Gang, a 2021 student majoring in Chinese Language and literature from the School of Literature, stood out in the competition and won the first prize in the junior middle School Chinese Group with the outstanding performance of the first place in the total score. At the same time, our school also won the high school history group, biology group, physics group, mathematics group, English group, junior high school chemistry group, mathematics group, politics group a total of 8 third prizes.

The competition is organized by Central China Normal University, divided into Chinese group, mathematics group, English group, physics group, chemistry group, biology group, politics group, history group, geography group and other 9 main subject competition groups, divided into high school group and junior middle school group, a total of 18 groups. 215 contestants from 16 colleges and universities in the province participated, and 16 contestants from 7 majors in our school participated. After the preliminary evaluation of the competition, a total of 65 contestants from the province were shortlisted for the final. In the final, the teaching design, courseware making, impromptu lecture and simulation lecture were carried out through the field selection. Li Gang performed well in the final, showing his solid teaching skills and good spirit, and won the first prize in the junior high school Chinese group.

It is understood that Li Gang is a student of our school's "Excellent Chinese Teacher Training Experimental Class". The establishment of "Excellent Experimental Class" is one of the important measures of our school to respond to and implement the cooperative quality improvement plan of the Ministry of Education. According to the talent training program, the School of Liberal Arts tailor-made the curriculum system, and practiced the core abilities of speaking, writing, teaching and creation of normal university students by offering courses such as "Writing with hard strokes", "Recitation of famous Chinese Texts in Middle School" and "Design and Production of micro-lessons". At the same time, the excellent class hired a number of famous teachers from Shiyan City's first-line middle school to teach the school, so that students from educational technology, skills to the core quality of normal students have been targeted training. This kind of "EAT" training mode, which is task-driven classroom, practical exercises for students, and full guidance from two tutors, has greatly promoted the improvement of students' professional ability and the development of professional quality.
