On the occasion of the arrival of the Dragon Boat Festival in 2024, in order to inherit and carry forward the excellent traditional Chinese culture and promote the exchange of Chinese and foreign students, the Propaganda Department of the Party Committee and the Institute of International Education jointly held a unique Dragon Boat Festival fellowship building activity in the book bar on the second floor of the Daoxiang Garden Canteen in the afternoon of June 6. Twenty international students from Mongolia, Indonesia, Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, Morocco, Congo and other countries and 50 student journalists from the university news agency together with dumplings, culture, talent show, celebrate the Dragon Boat Festival.
Under the guidance of the canteen staff, the teachers and students began to learn to make zongzi. The atmosphere was relaxed and cheerful, full of laughter.
While waiting for the dumplings to cook, the activity entered the interactive part of group building. Ms. Zhong Zhiting from the radio station told us about the customs of the Dragon Boat Festival, so that we had a deeper understanding of the cultural connotation of this traditional festival. Dragon Boat Festival knowledge question-and-answer session, the students have rushed to answer, in the traditional festival knowledge of thinking to stimulate the interest in traditional culture and confidence. The talent show was even more exciting. Members of the Communication Society sang English songs, while students of the School of International Education sang Chinese songs such as "The Moon Represents My Heart" and "Sweet Honey". Live singing and laughter interwoven together, happy. In the interactive session of "You draw and I guess", everyone collaborated with each other, further enhancing the tacit understanding and communication between members.
When dumplings, eggs, sugar garlic and other traditional Dragon Boat Festival food on the table, teachers and students have to taste, enjoy this traditional food taste buds feast. In the company of food, everyone talks and exchanges, sharing each other's feelings and experience.
