The inaugural meeting of Hanjiang Normal University Education &Development Foundation was held on Dec.29, and was attended by the head of NGO management, Civil Affair Bureau of municipal government, leaders of HJNU, and some renowned alumni. At the meeting, the online donation platform of the foundation was opened as well.
Ji Guanglu, the president of the foundation, delivered a speech. He regarded the organization as the product of much preparatory work. He expressed his gratitude to the leaders of provincial and Municipal Government, and to the alumni at home and abroad, for their care and support. He promised that the foundation would abide by rules and regulations, and would raise and use funds properly and transparently in efforts to promote the development of foundation and the education of HJNU.
Yang Xianlan, the president of HJNU, said that the setting up of Education & Development Foundation is a part of the construction of modern university system and inner management mechanism. She attached great importance to the practice of winning social support, which she thought had always been a significant help in the rapid and sustainable development of world famous universities. She expressed her belief that the foundation will exercise great influence on many aspects of HJNU, such as raising funds, keeping in touch with alumni and institutions, building up the vitality and competence, etc.
Guo Zhiganng, officer of Civil Affair Bureau of municipal government, announced the approval document of Hanjiang Normal University Education &Development Foundation.
Ji Guanglu was voted as president of Foundation, Zhou Jinfang, Chen Jun, Yu Quanshou, Lei Ting voted as vice-presidents, Zhao Wengang, the secretary of the Foundation.
Online donation platform was opened at the meeting. Now everyone can donate money to the foundation by scanning the QR code via smartphones.
