From December 8 to December 10, supported by China Dragon and Lion Sports Association and sponsored by Hubei Social Sports Management Center, the 2023 Hubei Dragon and Lion Dance Championship and the Hubei Provincial Selection of "I want to Go to the National Games" were held in Zhixing College of Hubei University. While helping the development of Dragon and lion sports in Hubei Province, the competition focuses on team selection and preparation for the 15th National Games. After winning the gold medal in the national Championship in October, the Dragon and Lion team of our school won three gold MEDALS, one silver medal and one bronze medal again in this event!
The competition attracted 54 teams and more than 600 athletes from across the province. Under the leadership of our school's coach, Mr. Pan Cheng, 16 students, including Li Zihao, Lu Peng, Tan Sheng, Zou Dan, Chen Shulong, Luo Haoyuan, Yang Rui, Liu Silang, Jiang Rongtao, Min Jiawei, Tang Xinni, Qi Xiaoqing, Huang Xiangmei, Han Ruyi, Pei Jingyi and Wei Ziting, won the first place in the three events of "Women's North Lion Race", "Women's North Lion Race" and "Men's North Lion Race". Won the second place in the "men's North Lion prescribed routine" project, and won the third place in the "Ribbon dragon promotion routine" project.
The relevant responsible teacher of the Dragon and Lion team said that in the process of preparing for the match day after day, the dragon and Lion team gradually understood that the sportsmanship is more attractive than the sport itself.
